Google Drive Public Link Factory
Google Drive Public Link Factory

Turn any Google Drive folder into a ready-to-share library—automatically. This automation lists every file in a specified Drive folder, sets each item to “anyone with the link: reader,” and creates direct download links you can store or pipe into downstream systems (sheets, CRMs, emailers). Batching and merge logic keep the process fast and reliable for large folders.
How it works
-
Manual start + folder selection: A Manual Trigger feeds a Set node where you paste the Folder ID.
-
Folder crawl: Google Drive list pulls up to 100 items with a query targeting that parent folder across allDrives and spaces.
-
Batching: SplitInBatches (50) processes items in controlled chunks to avoid API throttling.
-
Permissioning: Google Drive share flips each file to anyone / reader with supportsAllDrives enabled.
-
Direct links: A Code node builds clean download URLs for each file, returning
{ name, link }. -
Result assembly: A Merge (multiplex) joins permission results with generated links, ready for storage or distribution; a placeholder node indicates where to push outputs (e.g., Sheets, Airtable, email).
-
Operator guidance: An in-workflow sticky note shows an example output and reminds you that results can be stored anywhere.
Why it’s a game-changer
-
Time saved: Replaces repetitive, per-file permission changes with a single run.
-
Fewer mistakes: Deterministic sharing role and consistent link format reduce “access denied” errors.
-
Scales to big folders: Batching keeps throughput high without hitting limits.
-
Plug-and-play outputs: The merged
{name, link}pairs drop cleanly into catalogs, course portals, client handovers, or vendor packs.
Ideal for agencies, ops teams, educators, and creators who distribute assets frequently and need fast, reliable public links at scale.
Teams routinely spend 30–90 minutes per asset pack toggling permissions and copying links; at $35–$60/hour, that’s $175–$900 saved across just a few packs—plus fewer failed sends and support pings. This build includes Drive listing across shared drives, batched permissioning, robust link generation, and merged outputs—delivering a dependable “link factory” you can run for any folder.
