What it does
This automation is your always-on insurance policy for n8n. Every 2 hours (or on demand), it exports all credentials from your n8n instance, validates and formats the data, and pushes it directly to a secure GitHub repository. It compares the latest credentials with the stored versions — only updating changed ones, creating new files when needed, and skipping duplicates. Each credential is versioned as an individual JSON file with full commit history for auditability.
Why it’s a game-changer
Losing credentials means broken workflows, downtime, and emergency firefighting. Manually backing them up is tedious, error-prone, and often forgotten. With VaultSync, backups happen automatically, reducing human error to zero. If something goes wrong, you simply roll back from GitHub and restore your entire environment within minutes.
